SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS
Our children spend the majority of their time inside schools everyday. Evidence proves that the air they breathe and the environment that surrounds them may have a significant impact on their ability to learn, their attitude, and their general health. How your facility is maintained, including general cleanliness, the type and quantity of cleaning products and cleaning equipment, and procedures are all factors in providing a healthy environment for our children. Following green cleaning guidelines sends a “we care” message to students, teachers, parents and the public. Target Green by Preferred Companies will provide an organized school cleaning program based upon environmental management principles and fundamental environmental protection guidelines, green cleaning through the general reduction of biological pollutants, airborne pollutants, and total volatile organic compounds (VOCs). We will partner with staff and parents in this program by communicating and demonstrating green cleaning methods and the benefits.
An EPA sponsored study, for example, “The Total Building Cleaning Effectiveness Study,” demonstrated for the first time that an organized cleaning program contributes to reductions in particles, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and biological pollutants in excess of 50%.
